impact monitoring

Every campaign needs up to date intelligence on the political environment. We have developed a groundbreaking service that delivers political news and comment to your browser, inbox, mobile phone or personal organiser every few minutes.

It is called frontbench.

Your headlines are drawn from some 6,000 sources: TV channels, radio stations, newspapers, political parties, Parliament, think tanks, associations and companies. In addition, we monitor weblogs for relevant comment. Every article from these sources is swiftly analysed and placed in a series of categories specially drawn up for the political community - a process that is repeated every few minutes. Around 50,000 articles are added to your service each day.

designed for campaign professionals, by campaign professionals

frontbench gives you the edge.

First, you receive breaking news - placing you minutes, if not hours, ahead of your opponents and providing the opportunity to inject your perspective into stories before they develop.

Second, you uncover stories, quotations and comment that others miss. Whether it is the foreign press, specialist publications, press releases from a government contractor or a community's web log - the breadth of coverage is astonishing.

frontbench is a cutting edge service. Developed by political staff using the latest technology, it has undergone months of trials by campaign professionals in both Westminster and Washington, DC.

your subscription saves you money

frontbench offers an immediate return on your investment.

First, it replaces traditional cutting services and eliminates the need for dozens of subscriptions - saving thousands of pounds a year.

Second, it monitors the media automatically - allowing your staff to work on more important tasks, safe in the knowledge that they are up to speed on the latest developments.

Third, you do not pay any copyright fees on the headlines that we send you; to read the whole article, you simply click on the link in your browser or email and are taken immediately to the full article on the original website.

intuitive and easy to use

There is no learning curve to frontbench.

You simply visit the secure frontbench website and, once you have entered your username and password, see the most recent political headlines in your browser. You can flick back up to seven days, choose how many results to display per page and drill down by eliminating sport or foreign sources.

You may also set up an email or text (SMS) alert, so that you know within seconds that a story is breaking - or, if you prefer, request that a digest is sent up to four times a day.

frontbench keeps articles on the main service for seven days, before moving articles to its archive service. Headlines are never discarded by the system.

As well as a general politics feed, frontbench also provides more specialised categories that allow you to monitor specific topics, people, organisations, places and media - or, if you prefer, carry out a powerful, but easy to use text search across the entire database.

frontbench provides over 400 pre-built categories as standard. These include:

You can also monitor key people and organisations:

frontbench provides a well-rounded perspective by clearly distinguishing press releases issued by an organisation, on the one hand, and stories about an organisation on the other.

The service also allows you to research places across the UK and beyond, providing essential preparation for a visit or detailed intelligence on an opponent's constituency:

You can even enter a postcode to find out the local headlines.

Finally, you can go directly to any of our 6,000 sources and choose the most important media from a series of convenient menus:

frontbench can be fully customised and integrated with an intranet

We can provide a version of frontbench that has been completely configured for your needs - whether this means adding new sources, providing new categories or redesigning its look and feel to match your corporate identity.

The system can also be fully integrated into your intranet. You can choose to have this service hosted on our servers as separate pages or delivered to you as Javascript / XML so that it may appear alongside your existing content.

Any customisation is charged at cost to cover consultancy, specification, programming, artwork and domains.
